What is EWOT?
Exercise With Oxygen Therapy (EWOT) is an effective training system to increase the intake of high level of oxygen during exercise. EWOT is able to improve our oxygen circulation, restore blood flow in the body and increase production of ATP (cell’s fuel). Breathing concentrated oxygen while exercising can trigger anti-inflammatory response effects and provide an immediate increase in strength, endurance and energy by increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, plasma and tissues.
What is Oxygen and Its Importance?
So why is getting enough oxygen so important? For one thing, research is pointing to a lack of oxygen in the blood (called hypoxia) as a leading cause of many cancers. According to researchers at the University of Georgia, “low oxygen levels in our cells may be a primary cause of uncontrollable tumor growth in some cancers. ” And a study conducted at Washington State University found that when high-pressure oxygen was used on a culture of human leukemia cells, it reduced cancer cell growth by 15 percent.
On average, we’re only breathing about 21% oxygen, the remainder is nitrogen and other gasses. There are many factors that contribute to oxygen loss in the body such as internal and external pollutants, mental strain, physical overstrain, disease and or trauma. In addition, as we age, our bodies become less effective at delivering oxygen to our cells, increasing the chances of degeneration and disease.
The bottom line is that we can’t live without oxygen. And when our cells aren’t receiving enough oxygen on a daily basis, it will affect many aspects of our health.
Benefits of EWOT
Increases oxygenation of the tissues and cells
Prevents diseases such as cancer, macular degeneration, diabetes, fibromyalgia and etc.
Stimulates and strengthens the immune system
Fastens wound healing process and sports injuries recovery
Aids in dealing with stress-related illnesses
Slow down aging process
Greatly enhances athletic performance
Promotes metabolism for weight loss
Increases the diameter of the blood vessels (capillaries) that provide oxygen and nutrients to tissues and cells
Recover from jet lag
Who Should Go for EWOT?
Cancer patients
Individuals with chronic illnesses like diabetes / hypertension / poor blood circulation
Individuals with cardiac conditions
High stress group - who have sleep disorders or stress issues
Individuals who are active in sports / athletes
Individuals who are interested in anti-aging / disease prevention
How EWOT Works?
As the name implies, it involves administering a high flow rate of oxygen while exercising. Client will have to wear a mask that is connected to the oxygen bag and do exercise on a stationary bike.
They will immediately experience improved mental clarity, vision, and energy. It is also normal for them to feel energy currents, buzzing, tingling, streaming or breeze-like sensations in various parts of the body.
